we took the backroads
exploring off the beaten track
under changeable skies
by the sea
ending with the best clam chowdah
and a few beers at the local pub
we walked back to our hotel
on the mostly empty streets
in the dark

  1. All are lovely New England scenes. I love the pegs on the cloths line. Yes, chowder and beer, that’s New Englan also.

  2. Wonderful photographs, Susan. You’ve really captured the feeling of being by the sea in winter. I do love it myself. We’re off to get a blast of sea air ourselves next week. I hope I get some shots as lovely as yours!

  3. Will be visiting New England again this summer, hoping to get to shoot something as appealing as your subjects!

  4. Sounds like a truly wonderful day. Equally lovely are the images taken.
