“I used to dream about escaping my ordinary life, but my life was never ordinary. I had simply failed to notice how extraordinary it was.”

  1. The shadows from the lacy curtain on the open book took my breath away! (What was left of it after the potted plant in the window! 😀 )

  2. The ordinary life is all about relishing the present moment and all the beauty therein. My favourite photo is the fourth one down of the open book and the flowery shadows of the curtains. Such a lovely atmosphere.

  3. As you know from Flickr, most of these images I am truly and genuinely in love with. You are such a very talented photographer. I can’t stop admiring the woodgrain. And that quote is entirely perfect! Have a grand autumnal week ahead.

  4. I love the connections … the recipe and the finished product; the shoes on the bicycle, and after the ride, in the hallway.

  5. I love the coziness of these. Now I’m going to have to find a good recipe for corn chowder! I’ve missed your photos and the moods they invoke during my disappearance. I’m happy to see you’re out there having fun!

  6. This feels like one of your best compilations…well titles, straightforward with all the warmth you do so well. Even just the first five – sublime. Happy weekend!
