when the sun shines

“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.”
~ Charles Dickens

I’m grateful for any sunshine these days…

extremely honored to have my work showcased HERE, along with a short interview.  121clicks has long been a source of inspiration to me.

Hope you’ll come visit.

  3. A delightful interview! And delectable photos. I do want to know, though – did you spill that coffee on purpose?

  4. How fun to read that great interview! Congratulations! I am a big fan of your photography- you really capture the beauty and essence of the everyday. And of course your trademark gorgeous light! Bravo Susan!

  5. I followed the link above and loved reading a little about you and your journey into photography, Susan! Beautiful light in your first shot and your cat Mozart is so wonderfully photogenic and always looks so chilled out! I once read the phrase: “I have known many cats, and all of them were Zen masters!” We can learn a lot from a cat’s attitude to life!

  6. What a great interview! It is so wonderful to learn a little bit more about you. Your photos are a constant inspiration for me.

  7. Mozart is SUPERCHILL. What a great likeness. I bet he’s indispensable on rough days! I read the interview – congrats! The photos with it are a great representation of your gift for expressing peaceful domesticity. I loved the spilled coffee – and even that one feels calm! 😉

  8. Thanks, friends, I so appreciate your comments. Dotti, my husband spilled my coffee and was quick to blame it on the cat. He was happy when I didn’t ask him to clean it up.
