cafe 641

Go to a coffee shop. Sit by the bar with the glass windows and look out. Look at all the people running to catch a train. All the girls with one too many shopping bags. All the couples too in love to care. Then you’ll see it — a bit of yourself in everyone. And somehow, sitting alone in a coffee shop had never felt so good.

  1. It struck me that you tell such a lovely story with your images. I didn’t even need the text, though it did add to the atmosphere. A pleasant visit once again! Thank you.

  2. Lovely impromptu shots of life being lived in everyday situations. You have captured the atmosphere so well. That quotation is so true. When we look around us at the scenes we see, we recognize parts of who we are in the snatches of life bustling around us. We are all part of the human puzzle and together we form a whole.

  3. lovely atmosphere… and the quote is just perfect… your post is such a great reminder to slow down pace and just enjoy simple things 🙂 have a wonderful weekend, Susan!!

  4. Isn’t that the truth! That’s one of the things in all my adult life have always loved to do! And your photos are so perfect — storytelling through images at its best.

  5. Can we go here sometime and sit and watch. I wish I could find a name for your style…but the only thing that comes to mind is “home.” Comfortable photo’s that make me feel like I could be there. The sharpness in your dof is incredible. and the colors, so juicy. Thank you for warming me up a bit today as I readjust to the climate here…A lovely post my friend.

    • would love to have coffee with you here! I imagine it’s quite an adjustment climate-wise..but have faith, it’s warming up this week!
