all we needed was a little snow..

a week later, it arrived

“I know what I really want for Christmas.
I want my childhood back.
Nobody is going to give me that. I might give at least the memory of it to myself if I try. I know it doesn’t make sense, but since when is Christmas about sense, anyway? It is about a child, of long ago and far away, and it is about the child of now. In you and me. Waiting behind the door of our hearts for something wonderful to happen. A child who is impractical, unrealistic, simpleminded and terribly vulnerable to joy.”

~ Robert Fulghum

to say hello.

My house will soon be filled with family and friends as we get ready for our annual reunion and Independence Day celebration.  Crazy and a bit chaotic, but I will love every minute of it.

Busy with projects and thinking about the possibility of a new venture. I was recently contacted by the editor of an online magazine and invited to join their team as a regular contributor. Run out of NYC, this site features a cornucopia of topics from world news, tech and science, to lifestyle, entertainment and the arts…and of course, that includes photography. So, given that my mantra for 2016 is “just do!” I think I’m going to give it a go.

And speaking of “just do,” Carol MacGregor (Happy Gatherings Photography) and I finished up our shoot at the beautiful Bradley Estate in Canton, Massachusetts last week. We had gorgeous weather and what a treat it was to spend the day at this magnificent place…I didn’t want to leave. We are currently working on some editing and putting together some still life images. Hope to have a post up after the 4th of July.

Until then, here’s a little peek, as we were wrapping up the day.

A little dazed after hours of shooting, but happy.

Happy weekend, everyone and since I will not be able to post next week, I want to wish all those who celebrate, a safe and happy Independence Day!
