strolling, shooting, shopping and coffee with a good friend and fellow photographer, in an outdoor cafe. a perfect way to end the week.
Cheers to a lovely weekend, friends!
“When tea becomes ritual, it takes its place at the heart of our ability to see greatness in small things. Where is beauty to be found? In great things that, like everything else, are doomed to die, or in small things that aspire to nothing, yet know how to set a jewel of infinity in a single moment?”
~ Muriel Barbery, The Elegance of the Hedgehog
sipping my tea outside, enjoying this first warm day in April.
the Berkshires always remind me of James Taylor
and Sweet Baby James
we ended up at Tanglewood this past weekend
it was opening night
(and funny that James Taylor happened to be in the audience…along with Yo Yo Ma!)
but it’s always magical out there
as I’ve been coming here many summers
since I was a little girl
tonight was an all Tchaikovsky program
his Violin Concerto performed by Joshua Bell
with of course the BSO
and a favorite symphony of mine…The Fifth
people young and old spread their picnics out on the lush green lawn
for a night under the summer sky
this is how classical music should be enjoyed
in a beautiful garden, overlooking the lake and the mountains
I took a couple very short teasers on my iphone for you
after all the rain at the start of the weekend
the sun finally broke out on Monday
and after many trips back and forth to the garden center
I was finally able to get my hands in the dirt
it was so nice to spend the entire day outside
and as you can see, I had some company
which was all good
except for this guy…
He’s going to be trouble!
