Nature uses only the longest threads to weave her patterns, so that each small piece of her fabric reveals the organization of the entire tapestry.

things are happening

beautiful color bursting from all that green

the iris and the mountain laurel

and the morning glories are beginning their climb

small miracles

The ruby-throated hummingbird is a wonder of migration. Every winter it makes an amazing journey. Some have been known to make a journey of 2500 miles or more, from Alaska to Central America. Because of it, the hummingbird is a symbol for accomplishing that which seems impossible. It will teach you how to find the miracle of joyful living from your own life circumstances.

~Pablo Neruda (1904 – 1973)

in circles

And the seasons they go ’round and ’round

And the painted ponies go up and down

We’re captive on the carousel of time

We can’t return we can only look behind

From where we came

And go round and round and round

In the circle game

~Joni Mitchell

we came across this fantastic little carousel on the Greenway in Boston

on Saturday night

Joni Mitchell’s song immediately popped into my head!
