autumn blew in

sometimes my head spins from all the talk, the words,
the philosophy, the advice, the sermons..
sometimes I just want to get lost in photos

and that is all.

  1. I’m with you, but then I always have been (at least since I found your delightful blog!) I’m feeling the cool, slightly damp breeze that seems to be blowing our way, too! It is so refreshing after the long hot dry summer.

  2. That leaf is full of life, teetering on the edge – which we’ve been here, but it cooled down yesterday. The coolness can be as welcome as getting away from the barrage of words, sometimes. Have a cool weekend, Susan!

  3. I think that’s why I’m drawn to photography, too – an escape from the words 🙂

  4. Oh Susan…I’ve found you again, in this most beautiful space. Keeping up with all the threads and streams and feeds….I’ve resolved to spend my time on only the best, so of course that means popping in here regularly from now on!

I concur with your observation above – with all my heart. Sometimes I just want to look, quietly and be satisfied with just that. Your blog is just lovely!

    • Tara, you are so kind ❤️. I have been a fan of your work for so long now, you have a wonderful way of capturing those Maine woods of yours and it’s obvious to me that you shoot from the gut.

  5. I completely relate to the words and simplicity of this post and the leaf on the window sill is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing! I have a poetry blog here on WordPress and today’s poem is about autumn in case you have time to look? Sunny greetings, Sam 🙂
