a still pause

“This strangely still pause between summer and autumn, greenery and gold, and the heat and rising wind that is once again readying itself to rush it all away in a climactic symphony of color and scent is – in my opinion, one of the best parts about living on earth.”

I would like to thank Kim for featuring one of my photos on her beautiful site, Living Vintage.    Thank you, so very kind of you!

  1. Oh I quite agree. You have captured the magic of this subtle quiet transition beautifully. This is my favorite time of the year, hands down.

  2. I love them all…the blanket and tomatoes…picnic time, summer time… a little light and lots of bokeh…you captured it all…well Fall.

  3. Sehr schöne Photos! 🙂 Beruhigend und ein bisschen nostalgisch irgendwie. 😉

  4. Each one of these is a perfect ode to this kind of “in between” season in which we find ourselves right now. Me? I love this time of year!

  5. A beautiful series of pictures of the changing season, Susan. There’s a special peacefulness about them.
