Licht Years

where are you going, where have you been?

the calm

the calm

the calm that comes

after all the decorations are taken down and put away
and life once again returns to normal
it was a wonderful holiday season
and like every year previous
it just flew by
now it’s time to get back to our regularly scheduled programming

the start of 2015 has brought some exciting news
a new client and a published photo (Frog Pond Skaters) on a brand new website
that was just launched today…

The Colonnade Hotel

Boston

what I thought was probably going to be the size of a postage stamp is so much more and I couldn’t be more pleased. I have to say how extremely nice the marketing people are there, as I’m sure are all their employees.

So if you are heading to Boston, check them out…and please tell them I sent you!

There is always something bittersweet about the end of the holidays, but I must admit that getting my now-quiet house back in order today is good for my soul. Your photo perfectly sums up my feelings, Susan! Congratulations on the Colonnade photo – a wonderful photo and impossible-to-miss photo cred πŸ™‚ Cheers!

Congratulations, Susan, and the photo looks wonderful on their webpage. This is so truly well-deserved, and what a great way to begin the new year.
Wishing you a most bright and beautiful one!

What a peaceful image to move us into a quieter time! I’m seeking some simplicity and calm in the next few weeks. Congrats on the sale of your photo — a good way to start the year. πŸ˜‰

I have to learn to appreciate that “calm.” I like how you termed and showed the “letdown” as a positive thing. A wonderful lesson.
Congrats…what a wonderful way to start the new year!

Yes, the letdown is there too. I always stop and wonder where the year went, time is flying by all too quickly. It’s bittersweet, this mix of emotions after the holidays. But then there are those clean blank pages that await us in this new year…just waiting to be filled. I look forward to reading your pages as we head into 2015. Happy New Year to you and thank you for your nice words!

SO EXCITING! I LOVE the way The Colonnade uses your photo for their website (and the neat temp-deal they give for the special weekend rates). And I love how they showcase your name in the website also. CLASSY.
