“She preferred the quiet solitary atmosphere, to create in her own world of paint and colour, the thrill of anticipating how her works would turn out as she eyed the blank sheets of paper or canvas before starting her next masterpiece. How satisfying it was to mess around in paint gear, without having to worry about spills, starch or frills, that was the life!”
~ E.A. Bucchianeri

I met Adrienne Landry while wandering around Concord one summer afternoon. Here she paints on the grounds of The Old Manse, once the home of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, a most beautiful setting. One of the many perks of exploring with camera in hand, is the wonderful (and in this case, very talented) people you meet along the way. Please stop by her website and have a look at her magnificent portfolio.

  1. What a beautiful series of images, Susan, and how fortunate you were to have met Adrienne. There is something very special about being able to photograph painters as they are painting.

    Happy day to you!

  2. Concord, a place that has given us so much. I suspect the atmosphere must be inspirational there, both for you and Ms Landry. Thank you for the introduction.

  3. I adore those first images of the concord River and that massively gorgeous tree. Talk about serenity…Wonderful that you met and appreciated another artist in such a place…
