gifts from the sea

“The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. To dig for treasures shows not only impatience and greed, but lack of faith. Patience, patience, patience, is what the sea teaches. Patience and faith. One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach—waiting for a gift from the sea.”
~ Anne Morrow Lindbergh, Gift from the Sea

*patience is paying off and I have a bit of exciting news to share… one of my photos was recently chosen to be featured on the app Daily Pics (free on itunes). And in other news, I was recently contacted by the editors of a soon to launched photography website where they plan to feature several of my photos. I will be sure to post the link when they are up and running.

Congratulations and thanks for sharing such good news. Just wanted to let you know how much I look froward to your posts. You have become a big inspiration in my life, especially this winter. I’m ready to dust off my camera and find my words again.

Great news and well deserved! Your photos are always inspiring. I love the Gift from the Sea book and that’s so true about patience. It can take a lifetime to fulfill our dreams, but it’s worth it.

Congratulations! What wonderful news and it sure is deserving. Your photos are particularly sharp with an excellence of technicality. Added to that, they always have a genuine heart appeal. I’m so very pleased for you.

You know how much I admire your photography Susan and the more people that get a chance to see it the better! So congratulations to you and keep up the tremendous image-making. You’ve picked one of my very favorite quotes here from a cherished book and paired it with a gorgeous image.

It’s so well deserved. That’s great news. The focus on this is amazing – so clear in one area and dropping off so quickly to that smoothness…and the soft spring light, the colors – it’s an image to bring a good feelings.
