“Wherever I am, the world comes after me.
It offers me its busyness. It does not believe
that I do not want it. Now I understand
why the old poets of China went so far and high
into the mountains, then crept into the pale mist.”

~ Mary Oliver

losing myself in the fog yesterday
close to 60 degrees, it felt like spring
today it’s back to below zero…
what a difference a day makes!

  1. Love every one of these, but you saved the best for last. The lighting is incredible!
What really strange weather you’re having.

  2. What beautiful glistening leaves and seed pods still on the trees. Mist and fog is so mysterious and creates great atmospheres! I love the lighting you’ve captured on that last photo and the shining drops of water!

  3. Hmmm, how did that 60 degrees pass us over, and head straight to you???
Bitter cold here, but a bit better than yesterday.
These photographs are gorgeous, Susan, especially the last one.
    I love those colors.

  4. Wow, what a huge change in temperature from one day to the next. The weather is a little nuts in San Diego too, although a lot warmer. Up to 80 during the day, 30 at night. Quite a temperature difference…

  5. THese are beautifully stunning images – excellent work! I love the whole new look. I’ve not been able to visit anyone for ages so this is a gorgeous new look.

  6. And today was foggy again! I love the first photo especially. It feels limitless and makes me think of picnicking at the ends of the Earth.

  7. The second two images are positively mystical. I don’t know what you’re doing, but it’s incredibly effective. Amazing light!!

  8. These images are so beautiful and magical. I am sure I see a tiny fairy flitting through them. 🙂 Agree that the last one is especially beautiful, although I am mesmerized by the one of the tree. Been away for a while and catching up on your posts. They are all so wonderful.
