on giving thanks

bittersweet tears

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.”

~ Melody Beattie

  1. I am thankful for your delightful images…. how precious that drop of water! And for the turkeys, butts and all! Thank you for the delightful exchanges we’ve had in this blogging world!

  2. Such lovely orange berries with water drops. I love the quotation, especially the opening line: “Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.” That says it all for me. I live a very simple life, yet the words of your quotation show me how much I have to be thankful for.
    Happy Thanksgiving!

  3. My guy and I read this post together and send a huge Happy Thanksgiving to you all. (Of course, my guy asked me to write, responding to the three turkey photo, ‘which one is Bob?’ 🙂 xo
Is it still alright to use one of your photos (acknowledged) in my blog post tomorrow?

    • You didn’t recognize him?? The turkey in the middle is Bob! Hope you had a great Turkey Day! I forgot about those photos 😦 I’m going to search for some now and will email them to you!

      • Ohhh, of course! He hasn’t changed in years.
Check out my post A Thanksgiving Dance with one of your gorgeous photo. THANK YOU!

  4. WOW! Turkeys can be good subjects but this is priceless! And the focus on the bittersweet is so lovely…your words are, too. Thank YOU for being here – there – and maybe not everywhere, but you know what I mean!
