“A lake is a landscape’s most beautiful and expressive feature.
It is Earth’s eye; looking into which the beholder measures the depth of his own nature.”

~ Henry David Thoreau

wishing you all a wonderful weekend
one that someday, off in the future,
is worthy of reflection!

p.s.  I just want to THANK YOU ALL for your very kind comments, I am overwhelmed! I hope to respond to everyone soon!

Such wonderful reflections – each one with its own particular charm and beauty and that last one with the reflected clouds is so well observed and captured!
I love the Thoreau quotation – he was certainly a man with a sensitivity to the beauty of nature.
    Have a lovely weekend!

These are all magnificent, as your work always is. What a tremendous gift you have for working with light in your images. I only have to see one of your photos of the corner of my eye to know it’s yours. I also love the simplicity and purity of your images. That last one is so crisp and clean it astounds me.

These are incredible. I love the clouds and the reflection in that last one. It looks like a painting. I’m glad to see you’ve been out enjoying the fall colors! Thoreau is one of my heroes but I don’t remember that quote – very true and it goes perfectly with your photos.
