some winter projects completed
a quick jaunt to the market
cookies baked
a batch of garlic basil pesto made and in the freezer
a run on the treadmill (so I can eat those cookies)
and a call from my college son
to catch up on the latest
sometimes a good rainy day
is like hitting the “refresh” button!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever!

Ingredients:
2 sticks butter
1 Cup sugar
1 Cup Dark Brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. baking soda
3 Cups flour
3 Cups chips: 1 cup minis, 1 cup semi-sweet, 1 cup Heath Bar Toffee Bits (this is the combo I prefer but once you have the basic dough, you can add just about anything you like – peanut butter cups, snickers, butter fingers, etc.)
Cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well. Add baking soda and mix well again. Stir in the flour and then the chips. Use and ice cream scooper to scoop onto baking sheets.

Bake at 375 for 10 – 12 minutes. Take out of oven before fully cooked through.

Enjoy!

Thank you for this! At the risk of boring people to death, I’ve been trying to step out of my comfort zone a bit. I know that these are rather mundane and random but it’s all part of my everyday practice. Thanks again!
